Scott grew up being intimately involved in the Christian Camping ministry that his parents worked at year-round, in Dallas, TX and then in Rochester, MN. Throughout his youth and teen years he enjoyed serving in worship and home Bible study ministry in the youth group. After his freshman year in college, he worked as an intern in Galway, Ireland with a missions organization that focused on reaching local youth for the gospel. It was there that he felt the call to full time ministry and met CJ, an American student doing a study aboard semester with the same organization. After his time in Ireland, Scott returned to Minnesota where he served as the youth ministries intern at Calvary Evangelical Free Church while finishing his undergraduate degree and marrying CJ in 2010. After serving for some time as the Youth Pastor at Crossroads Evangelical Free Church in Pittsville, WI, Scott decided to pursue further education with a desire to teach. During his time at TMS and GCC, he met Faly Ravoahangy and is now working to finish his M.Div. and Th.M. in order to join Faly in Madagascar to train local pastors and eventually start a TMAI training center/seminary.
Scott and CJ have two boys and one girl: Faren (2011), Riley (2013), and Roisin (2016).
